Seedfolks

Though only 102 pages long, Paul Fleishman's story about a garden in inner-city Cleavland is brilliant. The book is 13 chapters long, each told by a different person who works in the garden. Each character has a different age, ethnicity, and reason for being a part of an impromptu community garden. Through the common interest of wanting to make things grow, neighbors who never knew each other now are able to see past their differences. A simple, lovely book.
